Who?

Hey! My name is Max, and I’m a filmmaker, editor, post producer, and film programmer. I'm a co-owner of the production house and artist collective, Stranded Astronaut, which centers climate storytelling, documentary, and experimental filmmaking. Some common collaborators include The Climate Film Festival, The Sierra Club, The Redford Center, and Rare Entertainment Lab. I began my career in the Brooklyn indie film world, and currently produce hybrid docs, fiction shorts, podcasts, science series, and animations from Los Angeles. Regardless of genre or intention, my work tends towards topics like the Anthropocene, ecological preservation and discovery, interspecies identity, and critiques of Western Industrialism.
